ABOUT US

Our history

On 1 November 2022, Wiltrading STACE and OceanLink Marine Services became known as ARA Marine. Since then, Marine Fire Services (MFS) has been acquired to further expand on ARA Marine’s capabilities.

Founded in 1986, Wiltrading offered integrated marine and offshore services, lifesaving equipment and firefighting systems servicing. STACE began operating in 1994 and quickly became leaders in the testing and certification of mechanical, fire, hyperbaric and pressure equipment to the defence and industrial sectors.

In 2015, Wiltrading and STACE merged and together the two companies maximised their skills, knowledge, and coverage across industries. The highly-trained team provided Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) approvals, technical and QHSE accreditations. In May 2021, Wiltrading STACE was acquired by ARA Group Ltd, an Australian-owned company with four main divisions that together provide fully integrated solutions for facilities and infrastructure, including fire & security, electrical, product, and property services.

In November 2021, the ARA Group also acquired Port Curtis Sea Services. In February 2022, ARA Group acquired marine service leader OceanLink Marine Services, a strategic acquisition to position ARA as a national provider.

Marine Fire Services was then acquired at the beginning of 2023, opening ARA Marine’s capabilities and services within the New Zealand market. MFS Ltd has grown from the mid 1980’s to become a trusted provider of marine fire safety solutions, with a team of experienced and qualified technicians who are experts in their field.

The national strength and services of the ARA Group are now available to Wiltrading STACE, OceanLink and MFS clients.
